Friend, this verse makes me giddy. I know that sounds silly but when I read it and other passages in the Bible like it, I know God tucked them in His word for me. Y’all…this passage is about us! The crafty creatives, the dreamers, the makers, the talented and the gifted. No matter the level of your skill. God placed your ability specifically in the depths of your soul.
So you can use it for His kingdom.
God loves beauty and he gifted all of us to contribute our talents to this fallen world. In Exodus 35 Moses even explains we are commanded to this! Your skill may not look biblical, like something you can contribute at church, but I promise it is.
Where are you using your talents to build the kingdom around you? Are you hiding your gifts? Not walking in the confidence of them? Are you saying to yourself you aren’t talented enough?
You are.
Simply put, you are enough. Your talent is enough. Your contribution is enough. And to think otherwise is like telling God he didn’t bless you correctly. Now, you can improve your craft, take lessons, sharpen skills, learn from others and progress…we all can. But you have to take the first step. Please, do that today! Come forward and make what God is calling you to.
