Hello, friends and welcome! You know I’m all about quick and easy crafts and these stamped terra cotta pots couldn’t be easier. Like so many of you, I love bumblebee crafts.

Did you see the bumblebee pillow I made here? It’s still a favorite pillow of mine. So when I saw this adorable bumblebee stamp I knew I had to have it.

So, let’s get to this terra cotta craft.

HOW TO MAKE Stamped Terra Cotta Pots

Start by removing any dust or debris from the terra cotta pots. You can use a wet napkin.

Pour some of the paint into the paint tray, or on a paper plate. You can see I used black on one pot and white on the other. It is totally up to you!

Use a foam brush to lightly paint the front of the pot. You don’t want full coverage, but rather light brush strokes where you are placing the stamp. Let the paint dry.

Dab paint onto the stamp of your choice. For the bumblebee I used white paint. Less is more when working with stamps. It works best to “stamp off” the paint, which basically means removing a little bit of it before stamping.

A paper towel works perfect for this. You can add the paint, dab it on the paper towel and stamp.  Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God” is one of my favorites, so I thought it would be perfect to add “bee still” to the top of the pot using the alphabet stamps.

This is where you can really make the stamped pots unique and add personal touches. Now just wait for the paint to dry and add your favorite plant or flowers. Be sure to check out my indoor plant care tips for some helpful information!

You really can use whatever you have on hand for the stamps. They are very forgiving, as long as you don’t add too much paint.

But here are a few supplies I like for adding the paint:
