Ribbon Rack Supplies

Start with a heavy base board that has enough support so it won’t tip when you add your ribbons to it!

Dowel Rods – I used 5/16″ but would recommend a little thicker after I built mine

Paddle Bit – you need the same size as the dowel rod you use, I would get a set for future projects so you have the sizes you need!

Wood Glue

Start by measuring where you want to place the dowel rods, making sure there is enough distance between to accommodate your ribbon spools. You could make different ribbon racks for different size spools if needed. Mark each spot.

Drill your holes with the appropriate paddle bit, going through the wood.

Cut the dowel rods to the desired length. Add a touch of wood glue to the end of each dowel as you place it in the drilled hole, flush with the bottom of the base. Allow to dry completely then paint, stain or leave raw. DIY ribbon storage idea to organize your craft room ribbons.
