It’s time to get egg-cited for this easy Easter decor I’m about to show you!!!

Maybe it’s just me, but bunnies and eggs go together in my mind. Hear me out… bunnies, eggs, chocolate, pastels, sunshine, and of course Jesus are all words that immediately come to mind when I think Easter. And the irony is that bunnies and eggs don’t really go together… as in, bunnies don’t LAY eggs obviously! And yet here we are… about to make this precious craft that I like to call “bunny eggs!”

what you need to make bunny eggs

easy easter decor comin’ at ya

  1. Fold your vintage paper in half and cut out bunny ears. I eyeballed this, and you can too– done is better than perfect, my friend! The perfect DIY to let your mind run wild on a budget... and you end up with sweet Easter decor at the end. Can you say win-win with me? #easydiy #easterdiy #pape
  2. Cut a slit in your ear shape– this will come in handy later. The perfect DIY to let your mind run wild on a budget... and you end up with sweet Easter decor at the end. Can you say win-win with me? #easydiy #easterdiy #pape
  3. Create accessories for your bunnies. I personally cut out a slit of paper and rolled it up to look like a little bow, and cut out a bowtie shape. Don’t overthink it, they are egg bunnies after all. The perfect DIY to let your mind run wild on a budget... and you end up with sweet Easter decor at the end. 4. Decorate your egg to your heart’s desire! I made a “girl” egg and a “boy” egg and went with that theme, but there is NO wrong here! The perfect DIY to let your mind run wild on a budget... and you end up with sweet Easter decor at the end. Can you say win-win with me? #easydiy #easterdiy #pape
  5. Dip your Q-tip in blush and spread in the middle of your bunny ears. You can also use this opportunity to give your bunny eggs blushy cheeks! 6. Use hot glue to attach the ears to the egg. Because we cut a slit, you can position the ear to be a bit “fuller.” Basically, bend the ear at the slit when you attach with hot glue. 7. Now accessorize! My boy bunny gets a bowtie and my girl bunny gets 2 little bows. I just hot-glued these on, easy peasy! The perfect DIY to let your mind run wild on a budget... and you end up with sweet Easter decor at the end. Can you say win-win with me? #easydiy #easterdiy #pape
  8. Lastly, the best part of a bunny– the cotton tail! Use hot glue to attach a cotton ball to the back. I ripped mine apart a bit so it was the right size and voila! Now you’ve got some precious little bunnies floating around your house! You can set these in a vignette, use as a bowl filler, or stick them in plants all around– wherever they are, they’re sure to add the sweetest touch to your Easter decor!
