We’re about to talk about how EASY it is to repurpose cardboard into Easter decor… or any decor for that matter… but first!

Do you know what a mulligan in golf refers to?? Yes, I’m asking, and yes, you’re still in the right place. Not to worry, I haven’t turned into a golf blogger… yet (kidding, of course)! But put simply, a mulligan is a second chance at your original shot. What a neat thing, right!? The good news– even if you don’t play golf, you can STILL get a mulligan… in life, that is! In fact, there are mulligans all around us, just ready for the taking. Take, for example, how we repurpose this cardboard into Easter decor… it’s so easy and the end result will have you shocked!!

what you’ll need to repurpose cardboard into easter decor

  • cardboard
  • sewing patterns
  • blush
  • cotton ball
  • scissors
  • hot glue
  • white craft paint
  • dowel rod
  • pencil
  • spanish moss

let’s give cardboard and sewing patterns a mulligan

  1. Trace bunny ears and cut them out (you can free hand or use a template if you find one). Watch cardboard get a mulligan as we recycle it into beautiful spring and easter decor in a matter of minutes! #easterdecor #springdecor #cardboardrecycle #easydiy #budgetfriendlyeasterdecor
  2. Then, leaving about 3/4 inch-1 inch around the edges, cut out the center of the bunny ears. It doesn’t have to be perfect, it’ll get sort of covered up later! 5. You’ll then hot glue the sewing patterns onto the back of the ears, making sure it’s stretched taut.Watch cardboard get a mulligan as we recycle it into beautiful spring and easter decor in a matter of minutes! #easterdecor #springdecor #cardboardrecycle #easydiy #budgetfriendlyeasterdecor
  6. Use blush (the more pink the better) to pink up the inside of the bunny ears. I simply used a cotton ball to rub it on!Watch cardboard get a mulligan as we recycle it into beautiful spring and easter decor in a matter of minutes! #easterdecor #springdecor #cardboardrecycle #easydiy #budgetfriendlyeasterdecor
  7. Hot glue spanish moss around the edges of the ears. I tried to get full coverage, but you can use however much you’d like! 8. Lastly, hot glue your dowel rod onto the back of the bunny ears so you can stick them into your favorite plant!Watch cardboard get a mulligan as we recycle it into beautiful spring and easter decor in a matter of minutes! #easterdecor #springdecor #cardboardrecycle #easydiy #budgetfriendlyeasterdecor

And just like that, cardboard AND sewing patterns got a mulligan, or a second chance. But it doesn’t end there. I know sometimes we can feel like we’ve gone too far in one direction, or like there’s no turning back, but that is simply untrue as a child of Christ. Getting that mulligan is as simple as asking God for one. It’s never too late to change course, to redo past mistakes, to right your wrongs.
