The Junk ReVision Challenge this month is a good one! January is all about fresh starts, getting your house in order from the holiday chaos and organizing away…at least that’s what has been happenin’ around here!

Please be sure to swing by the blogs of my junk loving friends below to see how they transformed trash to organizational treasure.

This dated soda crate was destined for the dump when I rescued it from a friend’s trash pile.

I wouldn’t normally paint a cool crate, but this one was already painted so I knew it was perfect for an update.

Cuff bracelets are all the rage right now and I LOVE them! The problem is they are awkward to store.

Enter crate.

With a fresh coat of paint and a few fun pieces of random hardware this outdated crate became the perfect bracelet organizer!

An old hardware plate made the base for the top décor. I pre-drilled holes to make sure I had accurate placing for the screws and didn’t go through the sides. It’s a thin space to work in.

Next I used epoxy glue (you could use any all purpose adhesive) to secure an old fashioned water spigot handle and topped it with a random chandelier crystal for a nice sparkle.

On the sides I added old knobs to hang necklaces from.

Baby food jars with painted lids are perfect to hold small earrings or rings. I use them in my craft room for all kinds of goodies.

This display is going in my closet. It was hard to get pictures in there, here is a pic exactly as is in my closet!

Happy hunting as you head out and look for fun stuff to make into your own organizational heaven!

Your storage idea for them is spot-on! xoKathleen Charm Bracelet Diva {At Home}

    1. Thanks Kathleen – it was nice that this was free. I have found them for around $10 but often they are much more…you just have to keep your eyes peeled. Isn’t that how it always is for good junk!!

  4. What a great save!! How lucky you were to salvage that crate from your friend’s junk pile. It looks so much better now and I love how you added the knobs for even more useful storage. I also like how you placed it on the wall in your closet, so it’s out of the way, but in such a handy place.
